Always Double Check When Paying For Parking

I was parked up in Nyack a few days ago to get a haircut and rushed out because I knew I only had about 5 minutes or so left on the meter.  But when I returned back to my car, to my disbelief, I had a bright red ticket on my windshield.  "How is this possible?!"  I asked myself.  But when I got into my car I found that the ticket had expired about a half hour before I got back to my car.

I found out that although I had inserted the correct amount of change into the machine, it had only taken 2 out of the 4 quarters I had given it.  In my haste I had not realized what had happened and just rushed to my car to leave the ticket  on the dash.  So now I want to impart my knowledge on all my friends and followers: Always double check your parking ticket to see what time the machine has displayed before printing your ticket!  You may find that it didn't take a few quarters and you have to reinsert them.  If I knew this before I could have saved myself from a $15 parking violation.

Happy Parking!
